2008 LGS Campaign
Currently, the Eligibility process is
underway for the 2008 LGS Campaign. Over 100 agencies have submitted their applications to be considered eligible to receive funding through the 2008 LGS campaign.
Volunteers from the 11 jurisdictions, as members of the Eligibility Committee, will review these applications at the end of April to determine which agencies will be listed in the 2008 Resource Guide. The Resource Guide is then distributed to over 43,000 public service employees to help them determine which health and human service programs they want to support in the campaign.

2007 LGS Campaign a Big Success
From Hanover County Schools Superintendent Stuart Roberson dressing as Elvis to Chesterfield County’s Fire Chief, Paul Mauger riding his motorcycle through government buildings, the 2007 Local Governments and Schools (LGS) Campaign was filled with excitement … and success.
Employees at government agencies and schools throughout the greater Richmond and Petersburg region gave big and raised more than $1.3 million!
Through their generous giving, public service employees from Charles City, Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, Petersburg, Powhatan and Richmond all demonstrated that they understand the needs of the region and want to help create lasting change.
Many thanks to all the local government and school leaders who supported the 2007 LGS Campaign and to the Employee Campaign Managers and their campaign teams for all their hard work, enthusiasm and success!
